Hypnotherapy

An inner journey towards your own resources

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, natural form of support that helps you rediscover calm, clarity and confidence, by drawing on what you already carry within you.

The essentials

What is hypnotherapy?

Therapeutic hypnosis is a natural state of focused concentration, close to the daydreaming we all know, when we're absorbed in a film or a piece of music, or lost in thought. In this state of deep relaxation, the mind grows quiet and makes way for a finer, more inward attention. You stay in control at every moment.

It's neither sleep nor magic. It's a space for dialogue with your own inner resources: emotions, memories, beliefs. By approaching them differently, it becomes possible to release blockages, ease fears or put new ways of reacting in place, gently, and at your own pace.

Myths vs reality

  • You lose control under hypnosisYou remain fully aware and stay in control at every moment. You'll never do anything against your will.

  • Hypnosis is sleep or magicIt's a natural state of focused concentration, close to daydreaming, that each of us already knows in everyday life.

  • Some people can't be hypnotisedEveryone is able to experience a hypnotic state; the key is simply being willing to let yourself be guided, at your own pace.

How it unfolds

How does a session work?

Every session is built around you. Here are the main stages that make up this moment of care.

01

The initial conversation

Every session begins with a moment of listening. You freely express what you're going through, your expectations and your questions. This confidential space lets us define the focus of the session together.

02

Induction and relaxation

Guided by my voice, you gradually enter a state of deep relaxation. The body lets go, the mind settles. This natural, pleasant state is the gateway to your inner resources.

03

The therapeutic work

This is the heart of the session: through suggestions, images or metaphors tailored to your experience, we draw on your own resources to set the desired change in motion, gently and effortlessly.

04

A gentle return

You return fully to a waking state, at your own pace, with a sense of lightness and clarity. We take the time to talk about what you experienced before bringing the session to a close.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, my answers

Hypnosis often sparks curiosity and questions. Here are the ones I'm asked most often.

No, never. Unlike its portrayal in stage shows, therapeutic hypnosis doesn't take away your free will. You remain aware, fully in control of yourself at every moment, and you can stop the session whenever you wish. Hypnosis is something we build together: it only works if you fully consent to it.

It depends on your personal situation, the issue being addressed and how you progress. Some people feel a real benefit from the very first session; others prefer support over several sessions to consolidate the changes. We'll discuss it together during the first conversation, with no commitment on your part.

The vast majority of people can benefit from hypnosis. The main condition is being open to the experience and willing to engage with it. Hypnosis isn't a magic wand: it's a form of support that draws on your own resources, and its effects naturally vary from one person to another.

Yes, children often make wonderful hypnotic subjects: their natural imagination makes it easier to reach a state of relaxation. The approach is of course adapted to their age, through games, stories or visualisations. Parents are kept informed of how it works and involved as needed.

A session generally lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the issue and how you progress. For children, sessions are often shorter. The fee is available on request, please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions.

Ready to take the first step?

The first conversation comes with no commitment. It's a chance to tell me about what you're going through, ask all your questions and see together whether hypnotherapy is the right form of support for you.
